Update for Aspire Dallas Patients
We understand that this has been a challenging and frustrating time for many of our patients -- and we're listening. That is why we are excited to announce that we will be resuming most of our infertility treatments. Like many organizations in our community, our transition back to full operating capacity will happen in stages.
IVF, Egg Freezing, Frozen Donor Egg Cycles
Effective Thursday, April 23rd 2020, our office will begin a safe and controlled re-start of the following types of treatment. Patients undergoing the following cycle types may be able to begin treatment:
- IVF with freezing of all embryos
- Egg Freezing
- Frozen Egg Thaw for Embryo Creation
- Frozen Donor Egg for Embryo Creation
- Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
- Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET)
To protect the safety of both our patients and staff, we are observing many social distancing measures here in the clinic. As such, we are limiting the number of patients that may start treatment on any specific day to limit the number of patients we have in the clinic at any one time. There may also be limited office hours during this time. We appreciate your patience as we adjust.
Many patients who experienced a cycle disruption due to COVID-19 have already spoken with a member of our clinical team to discuss your cycle. If you have not yet spoken to your clinical team, please call 214-319-8077.
Moving forward, we ask that all patients please call the office on the first day of her period. If over the weekend, please call us on Monday.
Fresh Egg Donor Cycles
We are continuing to wait on Fresh Donor Cycles. This timeline may be subject to change based on recommendations from ASRM, ACOG and the CDC. These cycles include:
- Embryo creation with fresh donor eggs
Onsite Safety Protocols
For patients coming into our clinic, we know there may be a sense of uncertainty regarding safety amid the coronavirus crisis. We are putting these additional safety measures in place for your protection.
1. Patients are required to wear masks while in the clinic
In compliance with the Dallas County order, all individuals will be required to wear face masks or other acceptable face coverings (bandana, scarf) that cover both the mouth and nose while in the clinic. Due to our effort to conserve PPE, we are not able to provide face masks to our patients. If you do not have one, you will be asked to leave and then return once your mouth and nose are appropriately covered.
2. Patients cannot bring anyone with them to their appointment
In observance of social distancing and to minimize the number of people in the clinic, only the scheduled patient will be admitted to the clinic. All patients coming in for bloodwork, procedures or ultrasounds must not bring any visitors. Children are not permitted in the clinic. We apologize for any inconvenience; however we are committed to protecting the safety of our patients and staff by limiting the number of individuals in the clinic.
3. All patients will be screened for temperature and health on arrival
Every individual entering the office will be required to pass a temperature screening and will be screened for COVID-19 related symptoms.
4. Cycle disruption policy
If an individual develops symptoms of illness during a treatment cycle, or if the individual is mid-cycle and tests positive for COVID-19, the cycle will be cancelled or suspended.
If this cancellation or suspension occurs prior to retrieval, we will issue a credit balance in accordance with services rendered during the cycle. Credit balances will be established on a case-by-case basis. We are not able to extend credit toward products or services provided by third parties (such as medications, phlebotomy, anesthesia, genetic testing, etc).
Consults
We will be continuing consultations for our existing patients, as well as financial consults, via telemedicine to ensure the highest degree of patient safety. If you would like to schedule a consult, please call 214-414-3806 to schedule.
We understand that delays are heartbreaking for our patients and we look forward to continuing this journey toward parenthood in the safest environment possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience in these difficult times.
