Aspire Dallas Welcomes Dr. Rivas
Aspire Dallas is thrilled to officially welcome Dr. Renee Rivas to our physician team! Dr. Rivas joins us after recently completing her fellowship at the University of California, San Diego and she looks forward to supporting patients in the Dallas area with tailored treatment plans and a warm, patient-centered approach.
When asked why she became a reproductive endocrinologist, Dr. Rivas says, “I fell in love with women's health when I decided to become an OB/GYN. However when I realized I could combine my love of new technologies, genetic advances and procedures all while helping patients to grow their families I knew this was the field for me.”
Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Rivas completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital. She earned both her M.D. and Ph.D through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of California, San Francisco and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from The University of Alabama.
Dr. Rivas joins Aspire Dallas with significant experience in the field. For example, she designed a non-invasive assay for patients with severe male factor to determine the stage of arrest they have during sperm development, bringing it from concept to preclinical test validation. Looking forward to the next frontier of fertility treatment, Dr. Rivas says, “This is such an amazing area of medicine where new frontiers are found all the time. However one of the most difficult ones is related to severe male factor and I am eagerly following along with new treatments in this area.”
Beyond her impressive academic resume and research background, Dr. Rivas understands the emotional and personal aspects of her patients' journeys. “I strive to meet patients where they are and to help them achieve their goals for family building.” With her genuine passion for helping individuals and couples on their path to parenthood, we’re excited to have Dr. Rivas join the Aspire Dallas family!
